About the role

We are looking for Student Supervision Assistants to supervise students around the school site, during and between break and lunchtime. Your role will be to promote positive behaviour for learning, ensuring school expectations and behaviour codes are met, calling for senior staff where necessary. You will support student prefects and ambassadors in carrying out their role. Being prepared to undertake First Aid Training and to carry out First Aid duties is an essential part of the role. You will also deal with lost property.  Ideally, you will need to have experience of working with children in a pastoral role. 

It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills (Maths and English qualification to Level 2) and that you share our commitment to a positive ethos and the promotion of excellence, justice and success for all our young people.

As one of our Student Supervision Assistants, you will be required to work 16.25 hours per week (12.45pm - 4pm, Monday to Friday), 38 weeks per year.

About Plumstead Manor School

Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls’ school. In response to local demand we admitted our first mixed cohort in 2018 and gradually move to being fully co-educational by 2022. 

We are a large, inclusive, comprehensive school and have capacity for 1,500 students aged 11-18. We have our own Sixth Form of around 300 students and welcome students from our own cohort as well as students from within the local area. Our students progress onto the full range of future pathways, including medicine and veterinary science courses at the most competitive universities and high-quality apprenticeships.
