Job overview
We are recruiting a supportive and approachable person who will be responsible for supervising students aged 14-19.
The successful candidate will work to provide an independent learning environment in which students can complete homework, and study assignments in a quiet and productive space.
There will be a requirement to undertake some administrative tasks relating to student registration and achievement.
Our ideal candidate will be committed and motivated, who can lead by example. They will have excellent communication skills, be confident working with small groups. The candidate may have experience of working with young people in a school or similar environment.
MAIN DUTIES:
§ Supervise a Study Area and ensure all students use the space effectively.
§ Maintain registers of students.
§ Liaise with Personal Tutors and Heads of Year regarding student work
§ Ensure all notice boards are up to date and enhance the appearance of the Study Area
§ Undertake any duties that are in keeping with the post as may be determined by the Head/Deputy Heads.

§ Able to work in an organised and methodical way, prioritising needs and managing workload, working effectively and calmly under pressure

§ ICT literate
§ Good written and verbal communication skills
§ Able to supervise individual or small groups of students
§ Willingness to support the ethos of the school
§ Open and constructive, accepting of feedback and always willing to learn
§ A ‘can do’ positive approach: energetic and enthusiastic with an excellent sense of humour
§ Excellent attendance and punctuality record
