The successful candidate will be part of a team of secondary support staff working at our all-through academy in Binfield.  As a qualified first aider, the post holder will be required to deal with students, staff and visitors who have had accidents in the school or become unwell, and liaise with other medical agencies to assist in this.  They will also be a member of the pastoral team where information can be shared and outcomes agreed.  They will endeavour to try and remove barriers to learning, be these related to health or pastoral problems so students are in lessons and learning effectively as much as possible.

KAB opened in a superb building in September 2018 with 120 Year 7 students. KAB primary phase and KAO both opened in September 2019. KAB now has students in Year N, Year R, Year 1, Year 2, and Year 7 through to Year 10 and KAO has Year R, through to Year 4. Both academies are run cohesively sharing the same leadership, staff, values, curriculum, opportunities and expectations of excellence.

The post is for 33.75 hours per week (term time only). Hours of work will be 8.15am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work additional days during the holidays may be required.

King's Academy Binfield is a new all-through school within The Kings Group Academies.

Our mission is to provide high quality education within a small community of outstanding schools in the UK that will deliver a transformative learning experience to all our students within the context of a global community of schools.

KGA has at its core the pursuit of the very highest standards both inside the classroom and beyond. We believe all students can exceed their expectations no matter what their prior attainment and experience. In a KGA academy no student will be labelled, we will treat them all as intelligent individuals. Through our ethos, our extended curriculum, our entrepreneurial approach and international dimension, we will ensure students develop into confident, rounded individuals, equipped for life in an ever changing world.

We pride ourselves on listening and responding to the needs of our partner schools and guarantee any school within KGA the opportunity to help shape the future development of our MAT. In a King’s Group Academy, pupils will be able to achieve their personal ambitions and academic goals, with the added advantage and motivation of working alongside peers from other King’s schools around the world.

At KGA our aim is to build clusters of excellence, blending the best of British education with the experience and success gained in our international King’s Group schools. We see staff as our most valuable resource and our innovative approach to CPD enables them to fulfil their career potential, as well as prepare our pupils for a successful future.

King’s Group was founded nearly 50 years ago by Sir Roger Fry and includes nine outstanding schools both abroad and in the UK. With this excellent foundation, King’s Group Academies has been invited by the DfE to develop a MAT and use the expertise of our team to build and provide ongoing support to small networks of outstanding academies.

We share a determination to make a positive difference to the future of our young people, their families and the wider community, as well as to the careers of our staff. This is your invitation to join us.
