We have a vacancy for a Study Centre Advisor to work in the Ashley Down College Study Centre Hub covering maternity leave for 26.5 hours a week.

You will be responsible for supervising and supporting students in the use of computers and library resources, as well as promoting and supporting literacy and numeracy in the Study Centres. You will deal with a wide range of enquiries from students and staff, deliver inductions and workshops to groups of students, liaise with teaching staff, as well as library-related IT and administration work. As part of working within the Hub, you will also work with our Learner Services Advisors delivering information, advice and guidance to students and potential students.

You will have excellent customer care, communication and team working skills plus a well-organised, creative and flexible approach. You must have very good IT abilities, as well as the motivation to develop and learn new skills. GCSEs at levels A - C, including Maths or English or equivalent, are essential. Ideally you will have had experience of working in a customer-facing role.
