As a Study / Cover Supervisor, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide supervision and support for students during lessons when teachers are absent. Your role will include:
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials to students, ensuring they remain on task and complete their work to the best of their ability.
- Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, managing student behavior and promoting a love of learning.
- Providing extra assistance to students who may need additional support or explanation of the tasks.
- Monitoring the completion of assignments and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Managing classroom resources and ensuring a safe and tidy learning environment.
- Supporting the school's values and ethos, nurturing students' personal and social development.
The successful candidate will have a passion for education and the ability to engage and motivate students. You will be highly organised, adaptable, and flexible, able to effectively manage a classroom and respond to different learning needs.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development.
