Study Skills Coach – Higher Education (HE)
To provide academic support for HE students by developing skills and learning strategies that will contribute to effective learning, retention and attainment.
Salary: Scale 3, points 17 – 20, £18,457 - £19,753 per annum, pro rata.
(equivalent to £16,022 - £17,147 per annum)
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends).
Contract: Permanent, full time, part year, 37.8 weeks per annum.
Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (initially based at Afan College to provide support at Neath College and Llandarcy Academy of Sport).
Qualifications: Candidates will ideally had a level 6 qualification (degree or equivalent) and/or a must have a minimum of a level 4 qualification (HNC or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and have relevant experience. Candidates must hold a level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate to Level 2 (with working knowledge of MS Office). Experience of supporting students is essential.
