We require a part-time study supervisor to start as soon as possible. There would be a requirement to work 20 hours per week for this academic year, working Monday to Friday 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.

Working closely with the Library and Learning Support teams, the study supervisor acts as a positive role model and encourages students to develop positive, independent learning habits. They will be a prominent face around college, building positive relationships with students to ensure that they can complete their private study without interruption. The study supervisor also promotes high standards of behaviour in social areas, reporting any issues or concerns to the relevant tutor.

The study supervisor watches over a number of private study and social areas across the college – the role is not desk-based!  As they provide supervision and support for a large number of students during non-lesson times, they play an important role in identifying and reporting any potential concerns about student safety or wellbeing.

The College is fully committed to supporting all members of staff through staff development and in-service training.

This is a permanent, part-time, term time only post, subject to the conditions of service handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association.  Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association support staff pay scale, grade 3 - 7 (currently £8070.47 – £8735.84 TTO based on 20 hrs per week).

Full requirements for the role can be found in the attached job description and person specification or from the college: email hr@kedst.ac.uk; or access information via the college website: www.kedst.ac.uk.

Please note that CVs cannot be accepted.  Applications must be sent electronically in the original format (Word document).  Closing date for applications is 9.00am on Monday 5 October 2020. Interviews are anticipated to take place week commencing 12 October 2020.

King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.  The college celebrates diversity and aims to recruit a diverse range of staff.
