This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of student support through raising aspirations and performance and helping to build ambition, confidence and resilience in young people.Confidentiality, flexibility and a supportive and empathetic approach towards students are key skills required in this role in order to provide a high standard of support to individual students with their specific care and educational needs.

The successful candidates will have the knowledge, understanding and experience of working with young people in a similar environment and must be willing to undertake further training relevant to the post.

New College Doncaster opened in September with over 450 Year 12 students and grew to over 950 students in September 2018.This is an exciting new venture, creating a sister college to the well-established New College Pontefract, rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, replicating its ethos, values and practices.The two colleges work closely, presenting exciting opportunities for collaboration, support, development and progression.

Working in a new campus, you will join a focused and driven team, committed to providing the highest standards of education for young people, in a challenging but supportive learning environment. New College Doncaster primarily delivers A Levels, alongside a number of Level 3 BTEC qualifications.

New College Doncaster is a sixth form college which opened in September 2017, growing to approximately 1500 students and with a strong reputation in the region. The college was rated ‘outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted in 2021/22.

New College Doncaster offers a wide range of almost 50 qualifications to full time students in the 16-19 age range, predominantly A level courses alongside a range of level 3 applied general courses.
