BASED AT OUR HEADQUARTERS AT KINVER HIGH SCHOOL
COMMENCING 1st SEPTEMBER 2021
SALARY RANGE L15 £59,581 – L17 £62,570
The Board of Trustees is seeking to appoint a Subject Director of English who is an outstanding practitioner and has the ambition to accelerate improvement and raise standards across the Trust.
Invictus Subject Directors are a team of professionals who take responsibility for the quality of their subject provision, curriculum, teaching and assessment. Subject Directors are accountable for subject performance, improvement, attainment and progress in their specialist area across the Trust and work very closely with the Heads of Departments in each school.
The successful candidate will be required to continue the development of an exciting curriculum that suits every type of learner and will have the tenacity to make a real difference to the lives of our students. The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and motivational skills.
You will have;
- A commitment to promoting the vision, mission and values of the Trust
- A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all students
- The confidence, the knowledge and the expertise to lead in your own subject area at Trust level
- Senior/Middle leadership experience in education
- A successful track record of leading and evaluating whole school/Trust wide initiatives
- The ability to engage, challenge, motivate and empower senior and other leaders

Who is Invictus Education Trust?
The Trust comprises of six secondary schools and one primary school in the West Midlands/South Staffordshire areas and was created in March 2015 by a group of like-minded schools:
· Crestwood School - Kingswinford, Dudley
· Ellowes Hall Sports College - Lower Gornal, Dudley
· Kinver High School - Kinver, South Staffordshire
· Leasowes High School - Halesowen, West Midlands
· Wombourne High School - Wombourne, South Staffordshire
· Pedmore High School - Stourbridge, West Midlands
· Rufford Primary School and Nursery - Stourbridge, West Midlands
Crestwood, Ellowes, Kinver and Wombourne were the original founding schools and converted to Academy status in March 2015. Leasowes High School joined the Trust in December 2016 and Pedmore High School joined in September 2018 further strengthening an already thriving Trust. In September 2021 Rufford Primary School and Nursery became the first primary school to join the Trust.
In addition to the high quality secondary and primary education provided to our students, the Trust also provides further education and pathways to a life-long career, or higher education through the Invictus Sixth Form, offering a full range of high-quality academic courses, all taught by well-qualified, experienced, full-time staff, who are an invaluable link between education and industry and help students to achieve their ambitions.
