St Paul’s Way Trust School is seeking to appoint an outstanding, creative and forward looking Subject Driver for English to help drive up academic standards across KS3 in our large and well-resourced Faculty.

This is an outstanding career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to a rich and varied English curriculum. Working alongside the Head of Faculty and Subject Leader, you will be responsible for the development of powerful curriculum plans, bringing pace and challenge to the learning of all students in our fully comprehensive and heavily oversubscribed school. You will be an outstanding classroom teacher, with a compelling vision for the leadership of innovative teaching and learning. You will have contagious enthusiasm for the subject which excites and motivates both staff and students. 

English Literature is a popular and growing subject in the school’s VI Form. The successful candidate will have an unwavering belief in the potential of every student, and a robust commitment to ensuring that every student succeeds. (S)he will have excellent subject knowledge, and a track record of delivering outstanding academic results. Experience of teaching A-Level to a high standard is a bonus.

We are looking for an individual who:

• Has a calm, professional and approachable manner to support the raising of attainment of all students in KS3 and all classes they teach

• Will collaborate to an inspiring, innovative and caring team

• Is proactive and has exceptional classroom skills
