Physical Education is an incredibly popular subject at the school and is a key factor in the school’s ethos of having a broad and balanced curriculum and a healthy lifestyle. It is also an increasingly popular subject at KS4 with approximately 1/3 of students opting to study PE as an exam subject in the recent options process.

This is an exceptional career opportunity for a colleague who is ready to take on a leadership position and who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to a rich and varied curriculum. You will be an outstanding classroom teacher, with a record of accomplishment of achieving strong academic results and a compelling vision for the leadership of innovative teaching and learning.

Working and supporting the leadership within a forward thinking and collaborative faculty, you will be responsible for the progress of students within PE, in particular students studying KS4 exam courses. You will also play a key role in developing the teaching and learning within the faculty and monitoring the high standards that are set.  

The successful candidate will have an unwavering belief in the potential of every student. They will do what it takes to ensure that students achieve their best, and will have the contagious enthusiasm for the subject, which excites and motivates students. This includes playing a key role in the school’s extensive extra-curricular opportunities and successful sports teams.
