Subject Lead - Geography (part-time)

We are recruiting a Subject Lead in Geography to join Oak's Education Team.

This is a unique opportunity to join Oak as it builds from its role supporting remote education during the pandemic, to develop high-quality, evidence-based, in-class exemplar curricula and lesson resources to support teachers.

The successful candidate will work closely with partners within and outside of Oak, to oversee the development and iteration of an exemplar geography curriculum and accompanying lesson resources, as part of a large programme of production across multiple subjects. The successful candidate will also be a visible ambassador and spokesperson for their subject and for Oak National Academy.

Expert subject knowledge, curriculum leadership, delivery and collaboration skills are critical for this role. Experience of contract performance management would be ideal but is not essential.

The role is part-time (0.6 FTE) and our core working days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, to allow effective collaboration time with colleagues. This is predominantly a remote role with occasional in-person events and activities.
