St Damian’s is a heavily oversubscribed Roman Catholic Science College which is committed to the professional development of staff and promoting the welfare of children.
We are seeking a well qualified, enthusiastic and innovative Subject Leader of Geography to further the development of the Geography Department. The person we are looking for will be committed to enthusing children of all abilities, be passionate about teaching and learning and will be supportive of the College’s Catholic ethos. In November 2017 we were judged by Ofsted to be Outstanding and we consistently produce at least good outcomes for our great children.
Across our Ebacc subjects [Geography, History, Science & Languages] our attainment was the highest in Tameside. This reflects a strong academic curriculum of which we are rightly proud. Within this, our Geography outcomes played a major part. We look to continue to seek the best possible outcomes for our great pupils. These results are the outcome of exceptional pastoral care, high-quality teaching and strong leadership.
