Holy Family Catholic High School

Subject Leader Computing/ICT Scale: Teacher Pay Range + TLR 2b

(Required for January 2018)

The Governors of Holy Family Catholic High School are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational leader of Computing/ICT.  This is an exciting opportunity for a highly committed teacher to lead developments in this subject area.

We require a dynamic teacher who can teach Computing/ICT to all abilities across Key Stages 3 and 4 and ideally Key Stage 5.     Holy Family Catholic High School is an ambitious, high achieving, 11-18 mixed Voluntary Aided School, where young people feel safe and happy.

The school is well known for its very high academic standards and the warmth of its working relationships. In 2017, our GCSE results placed us as one of the top performing schools in Sefton and the top performing Catholic school. Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 results are consistently above the national averages.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Due to the nature of work this post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). We welcome all applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Values and vision

Holy Family Catholic High School aims to be a high-achieving school that provides a great level of support and care to each child, to ensure they are given the self-belief and self-confidence to achieve their ambitions. It is a large enough school to provide students with a high number of opportunities and learning facilities, but small enough to be able to cater to each child’s needs and create a healthy working relationship between staff and students.

The mission of Holy Family is to help children develop as well-rounded individuals with a strong faith and empathy for others.

Ofsted report

“Students achieve well, particularly in Key Stages 4 and 5. As a result, they are well prepared for the next stages of their lives. The new headteacher is building well on a tradition of good leadership. He has quickly inspired the school to be ambitious for further improvement. As a consequence, members of the school community are very clear about what they need to do to achieve this.”
