Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust with Manchester City Council as co-sponsor. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and is now amongst the most popular schools in the city, showing significant academic improvement, a rapidly expanding student population and growing sixth form provision. Our thriving Performing Arts department is seeking an experienced teacher of Drama and Performing Arts to undertake a subject leader role whilst the current post holder is on maternity leave. You will also have the opportunity to access a range of excellent professional opportunities to support your progression.
Skills required are:
· Experience of planning and delivering the curriculum to KS3 and KS4.
· Ability and experience of teaching BTEC Performing Arts (Acting pathway).
· Delivery of extra-curricular activities and primary liaison.
· Collaborating closely with the music department to prepare students for shows, concerts and productions.
- Knowledge and training of a data analytical tool
- Knowledge of BTEC IV process
