Exciting opening for a Subject Leader for Geography at Featherstone High School.

We wish to appoint from April or September 2018 to this 11-19 multi-cultural school specialising in the Sciences and Sport, a highly motivated, ambitious and dynamic Lead Teacher of Geography. The candidate applying for this post should be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with proven leadership skills and be committed to ensuring further improvements in pupil outcomes.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner and be responsible for developing outstanding practice and advice for staff across the department. You must be able to demonstrate the leadership qualities, management skills and curriculum vision necessary to provide a high quality learning experience for our pupils. You must be able to demonstrate a determination to promote professional development so it impacts positively on the quality of teaching and learning.
