Subject leader of history: TLR 1B + outer London allowance
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and well-qualified subject leader of history. The successful candidate will lead a highly successful history department following the relocation of the current subject leader. History is one of the most popular options at GCSE with six classes in year 10 and 5 classes in year 11. It also has a high take up at AS and A2.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong subject knowledge and be passionate about the importance of history in the curriculum. They will be expected to be able to teach history to students in key stages 3, 4 and 5 with previous experience of teaching history successfully at GCSE and A level.
Lampton School is a mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school that converted to Academy status in September 2010. We are a National Teaching School and have IIP Status.
