Newcastle School for Boys is the only independent school in the north east of England providing continuity of education for boys only from age three to 18. We are passionate about boys’ learning and the development of boys and young men of excellent character.  Our teachers enjoy the freedom to be creative in their teaching, excellent relationships with pupils and colleagues and being part of a supportive and purposeful community. 

We are seeking to appoint a  part-time  Subject Leader for Media for our Senior School  from the Summer term 2022, or earlier.  It would be possible to combine this role with the part-time English Teacher role advertised separately to create a full-time role.   

The successful candidate will be an inspiring and passionate subject leader for media with a demonstrable passion for the subject.  They will exude enthusiasm, energy and excellent subject knowledge, to meet the needs of all learners.  

They will play a key role in leading media, particularly in the sixth form where the subject is popular and the boys are successful.  By joining our team, you would be committing to ensuring that boys are individually challenged and supported by a committed and dedicated teacher who cares about each individual boy, their learning and character development.
