Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, effective and enthusiastic specialist in Religious Education to start in September 2020, at this highly successful, heavily over-subscribed school which is firmly established as one of the highest performing secondary schools in the region (and in the top 10% of schools nationally). We gained ‘Good’ in our 2018 Ofsted inspection and as part of the Local Authority’s quality assurance strategy, we have gained Category 1 status, which is the highest category of school performance, for four years running.
Religious Education has an excellent reputation within the Academy and the successful candidate needs to have the necessary knowledge and skills to teach all aspect of Religious Education from Year 7 to GCSE. A Level teaching is available for suitably qualified and experienced teachers. Both attainment and progress in Religious Education is very strong at GCSE. Many students choose to study Philosophy and Ethics in the Sixth Form.

Salary: Pay range between £24,371 - £40,489 per annum + TLR2.5 £4,653 according to the Academy Pay Policy.
