Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Subject Leader who is creative and passionate about teaching Science across all key stages and can lead and manage the Department to new heights.

You should be an expert practitioner who is committed to continuing the journey of raising levels of achievement for all our students and be able to build on the school’s successes in order to move the department forward.

You will demonstrate clear leadership qualities and be able to convey your own passion for teaching and learning including through extra-curricular activities.

We offer separate and double award at GCSE and all three Science disciplines at A Level, along with Level 3 BTEC in Applied Science. The successful candidate will need to be able to teach all 3 Science disciplines up to, and including, GCSE Level and ideally Biology and/or Chemistry at Key Stage 5.

The school invests in the ongoing formation of staff. The school was judged as Good by Ofsted and Outstanding by the Diocese of Portsmouth.
