Kingsmead School A partner academy in John Taylor MAT King’s Avenue Hednesford Staffs WS12 1DH Telephone: (01543) 512455    Fax: (01543) 512481 Email: office@kingsmeadschool.net Website: www.kingsmeadschool.net   Subject Leader Media/Teacher of English – TMS & TLR2c (£2,640) Required for September 2017  Kingsmead School, a partner academy in John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JT MAT)  and rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in February 2015, is looking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic Subject Leader for Media, who will join a successful and supportive curriculum area.  The successful candidate will be an outstanding Teacher.  Media is a popular subject at Kingsmead and is taught at Key Stage 4 (BTEC Level 2) and Key Stage 5 (BTEC Level 3) and the successful candidate will teach both key stages.  Media studies sits in the English curriculum area and the successful candidate will lead the development of Media studies and also teach English to GCSE level.  The English department continues to grow from strength to strength, facing the challenges of a new national curriculum and examination system head on.  You will have the opportunity to teach the full age and ability range and make a real contribution to this well-resourced and forward-thinking curriculum area  This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  A copy of the ‘Safeguarding Policy’ is available to view by visiting the School website:  www.kingsmeadschool.net  This position is subject to a criminal records check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions in your application form.  Visits to the School are very welcome and encouraged, please get in contact if you would like to arrange this.  Closing date for application:   Tuesday 2nd May 2017 at 9.00 a.m.
