We require, from September 2023, a talented, ambitious and well-qualified teacher to join this lively and high performing 11-18 Foundation School and subject team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented English teacher with energy, leadership and management experience to lead this key area. The successful candidate will lead a hardworking, collaborative and high achieving team. We expect that you will be able to teach English across the KS3 and KS4 ability range. The ability to teach English Literature to A-level is desirable, but not essential.

Bishop Heber High School is a mixed, non-denominational comprehensive school with a sixth form, there are 1280 students on roll aged 11-18. It is situated in the picturesque village of Malpas. The school has an enviable reputation for excellence both within its catchment area and far beyond. The school was founded in 1960.

Location

Malpas is a large village placed deep in the south Cheshire countryside. There are several pubs in the village as well as good quality local shopping. Malpas also hosts a regular Farmers’ Market. If you are looking to explore, Malpas is a great base for sightseeing with Cheshire, Shropshire and North Wales just a stone’s throw away. Practically on your doorstep is the famous city of Chester, you can reach the city in 30 minutes and explore all the historic sites.
