We seek to appoint an outstanding teacher and leader to drive forward our Humanities faculty and specialise in Geography. The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring the further improvement of the Humanities faculty, ensuring high quality teaching and that there are student intervention programmes in place which ensure student progress. There are great development possibilities within the school and Trust for the right candidate. This post would suit an experienced leader or someone who is taking their first steps into middle leadership as the successful candidate would be ably supported by our Joint Heads of Humanities. This is an exciting opportunity for promotion and to further develop your career.

As the Geography Lead you will

  • be accountable for the standards attained by all students within Geography
  • your lessons demonstrate to the department what is expected in terms of standards
  • plan and apply strategies/interventions that deliver rapid student progress with Geography
  • ensure the delivery of effective teaching and learning that maximises individual progress
  • ensure that within the Geography faculty the learning environment including facilities, health and safety and effective deployment of resources
