Tes is seeking an experienced Mathematics practitioner to join an Outstanding rated school as their Subject Leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic subject leader to lead the mathematics teaching team from September who will challenge and engage all pupils to achieve their full potential. 

The students are easily inspired to take their learning further and typically enjoy challenging activities with relish and are therefore keen to appoint someone to lead the team who has a passion for making a difference. 

The school has high academic standards, excellent examination results and consistently feature as one of the top 60 state schools in England. Almost all students progress to university with approximately 15 attending Oxford or Cambridge each academic year.

The school expects:

  • Good honours degree
  • Appropriate evidence of in-service training
  • Ability to teach up to and including A-level, including Further Maths
  • Effective classroom teacher
  • Experience of working with pupils of high ability
  • Experience of teaching FSMQ Additional Maths, and/or Level 2 Further Maths
  • Willingness to contribute to the school’s extensive co-curricular programme
