Thank you for your interest in the post of Subject Leader for Maths at St Nicholas Roman Catholic High School. This contract is to start in September 2022.
This is an exciting time for us as we look to further strengthen our Maths department here at St Nicholas. We are looking to appoint a Subject Leader for Maths with a passion and vision for learning and teaching in Maths across all Key Stages - a highly effective practitioner who will make a difference by inspiring a love of learning in their students. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, forward thinking, and progressive department which is keen to build upon the many successes within the school’s external inspection reports from both the Diocese and Ofsted.
St Nicholas has made significant progress with the continuous development of the curriculum we deliver to our students. The successful candidate will benefit from teaching in a department which offers comprehensive and robust schemes of learning, incisive planned assessments, and is fully resourced. Coupled with this is an unwavering commitment to the bespoke professional development of every member of our teaching staff.

St Nicholas Catholic High School is a mixed catholic secondary school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Northwich, Cheshire, and caters for approximately 1,250 pupils.
The school opened as a secondary modern in 1965, becoming a comprehensive school in 1972. It is a voluntary-aided school.

As a Catholic School, Gospel values permeate all the work undertaken in St Nicholas Catholic High School. Pupils are encouraged to recognise the importance of education in their own fulfillment as well as for the betterment of society.
The school aims to nurture students’ faith through liturgical celebration, and provides pupils with opportunities to take part in retreats. St Nicholas welcomes the views of parents, and considers them to be central to the successful education of their children.
