About Stour Valley Community School

Stour Valley Community School is a co-educational secondary school for pupils aged 11-16, located in Clare, near Sudbury in Suffolk.

Stour Valley Community School first opened in 2011, as one of the UK’s first free schools. Founded by local parents who felt that a new secondary school was needed in the area, Stour Valley was built on the site of an old middle school. Smaller than the average secondary school, Stour Valley boasts an array of modern facilities.
