A big school needs large minds

Subject Leader of RE (Philosophy and Ethics) – TLR 2.2

Nicholas Chamberlaine School needs a Subject Leader of R.E (Philosophy and Ethics) from September 2017 who has the vision and ambition to deliver unrivalled provision for our students.  We are forging our path to great based on our Three Pillars of Proud Traditions, Wide Horizons and High Achievement as a proud member of the Griffin Schools Trust. Nicholas Chamberlaine School is a vibrant and exciting place to be with a positive culture and climate that enables staff and students to shine. We want you to be the role-model, teacher and leader that you aspire to be.

In the era of mass-media and data-saturation, the need for the skills R.E encourages has never been greater: skills of tolerance and empathy developed through understanding and a capacity for critical evaluation of belief and action alike are vital to personal success for all future Global Citizens. The successful candidate will be in the enviable position of driving a curriculum that is pertinent and of relevance to contemporary issues in local, national and international contexts, at all three Key Stages.

If you share our belief that learning is a lifelong journey for students and staff alike, if you strive to be an excellent teacher and have a proven track record of successful outcomes, if you are a creative thinker with a track record for delivering on your plans, then tell us why Nicholas Chamberlaine School is the place where you will flourish as the next step in your career journey.

For details about how to apply for this position, please visit the school website for an application pack. If you are ready for the challenge, contact for a visit or email your CV, letter of application and a completed Griffin Schools Trust application form.
