We seek to appoint an outstanding Subject Leader of Sociology who is dynamic, enthusiastic and creative. The successful applicant will be passionate about inspiring our students and be a team player who works collaboratively with colleagues. It would be desirable if the candidate can teach Criminology. 

Our outstanding Sociology Department offers GCSE Sociology as well as A Level, with 2 GCSE groups in years 10 and 11 and 1 A Level group in years 12 and 13. Results in both are outstanding, with 100% A-C at A Level in 2017 and 93% achieving above target in GCSE in 2016.

The successful applicant will be

  • Qualified to deliver Sociology across Key Stages 4 – 5 to the highest standard

Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16.
