Required for September 2018, an enthusiastic Head of Physics to join a supportive science department. The role will involve completing schemes of work for the new GCSE syllabus, supporting A-level and International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching, exam entries and supporting a team of three colleagues. The Head of Physics will be responsible for all key stages studying Physics, and experience of teaching Sixth Form is desirable, but not essential. A commitment to STEM and enrichment for our students is also highly valued.
The Science Department achieved 89% A* - C GCSE, 33% A*-C A Level, 67% IBH 5+ Physics in 2017, and the subject is becoming a progressively more popular subject in the Sixth Form.
