Job overview

We wish to appoint someone with the following qualities and relevant skills and experience, who is able to provide tuition in either English or Maths for students in Years 7 to 11:

  • English or Maths subject specialist OR recent A level/Level 3 or degree level qualifications
  • experience of tutoring/mentoring (desirable but not essential)
  • commitment to and belief in the ability of all students to be successful learners
  • ability to work within a team
  • ability to build positive, enduring relationships based on high expectations
  • solution focused, with a 'can do' attitude
  • hardworking, enthusiastic and positive


The successful applicant will work alongside our Heads of Department to deliver targeted support and tuition to students. Tuition will take place during the academy day (8.30 am - 3.00pm) as well as for an hour after school. Precise times to be confirmed upon appointment. Please provide details of the days and times you are available within your application. Rate of pay will be subject to experience and qualifications.

This is a temporary post from October 2022 to July 2023.
