We are seeking an outstanding Subject Team Leader of Maths who has the ambition and passion to work with a highly committed team in raising standards in this subject.  If you are interested in a creative and less restrained approach to teaching maths, this could be the move for you.


We offer a range of Maths courses including GCSE and functional skills Level 2. Maths is a highly successful subject within the academy and the team are creative about delivery.  The department is committed to engaging student interest in mathematics, its theory and contextual application.


Aspire Academy is an Alternative Provision Academy with a difference. We are amongst the largest APs in the country and in the top 1% for outcomes for students. 


We currently support and educate nearly 300 students and see the development of the whole child as our core purpose. Since opening in 2014, Aspire has expanded rapidly and strongly. We support and work with over 25 secondary schools across 5 Local Authorities.


In our most recent inspection, Leadership and Management was judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted. Whilst we believe in supporting students  to achieve their full potential, we also have the  same belief for all our staff.


Our students are taught in a range of specifically designed buildings to meet their needs.  We have an innovative approach to learning and teaching and aim to ensure that the learning experience for our students is one that is tailored in a way that ensures progress.


We aim for all students to leave school with the tools to be a successful, positive contributor to society, irrespective of their starting point when joining us. We accept our students may have faced many challenges to the point they join us and may continue to face challenges in their everyday lives. However, we are committed to supporting students in overcoming their barriers to learning and helping them to develop towards being valuable members of their community Post-16.


Aspire Academy achieves this by providing a varied education enabling them to leave equipped with the right qualifications, developed personal attributes and a good understanding of their community and how they impact on it. At Aspire we believe those students with challenges and barriers to learning should have the same educational opportunities as all other students in the country. This includes access to resources, high quality teaching, educational trips and visits and a wider learning outside the classroom.


We see ourselves as being at the cutting edge of educational provision and individual development.
