The Castle School meets the individual needs of 175 pupils between 4 and 19 years, all of whom have learning difficulties.

As part of our Castle School supply staff you will be working flexibly across the school with hours and days to suit you. This support provided is vital to the smooth running of the school to cover absences in class, sometimes at short notice.

You will be working with pupils across the school who have learning difficulties, experience of Autism in an educational setting will be an advantage.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will support the needs of pupils as individuals and small groups throughout the day. You will be required to implement education plans and provide assistance with programmes devised by other therapists.

In this role you will be required to help with pupils personal care needs. You will work across both school sites and in a variety of classrooms, so will need to be flexible and adaptable. 

Applicants will need to have excellent people skills and a warm and caring personality. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff is important. Opportunities for training are available and staff are encouraged to take these up.

Hours - 8:45-3:15pm

Closing date - 29 January 2023
