A number of schools in Dudley require Qualified Teaching assistants for supply based roles for day to day and potential long term cover in SEN schools. Our clients are extremely passionate and offer very friendly and supportive environments to work within.

The role:

ABC Teachers, an award winning recruitment agency owned by TES, are currently recruiting passionate and hardworking Qualified Teachers to work within the Special Educational Needs department of a number of schools located in Dudley and the surrounding areas. The Schools cater for Students with a range of differing SEN issues and cater for pupils aged between 6 and 16 years old.

The schools provide a challenging, exciting and rewarding environment to work within and will be starting in September on an ongoing day to day supply role; long term positions may also be available 

Due to the role being centred within a Special needs environment, it is important to show you have experience dealing with a variety of Special needs. Your experience will need be within a SEN school but long term proven experience outside of a school will be considered.

As part of the job you will be taking lessons for SEN students; a sound understanding of a range of SEN skills such as Makaton, BSL or EAL will be extremely well received. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a similar role. The role can vary from day to day so flexibility and a sound SEN understanding is vital. Occasionally permanent positions do become available although this cannot be guaranteed.

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain academic references to cover the last 12 months, one of which must be a school based reference. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
