An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Support administrator to join our Academic team at Derby College Group.
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated professional who is ready to deliver an outstanding experience to our students.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support organisation of and arrangements for extra-curricular talks and events for students, including completion of risk assessments
- Support and develop departmental employability and personal development events and organise booking systems for students to attend event to maximise engagements
- Provide administrative and logistical support (including catering, room booking) for events relating to student experience, including open days and outreach
- Act as liaison point for internal and external contacts
- Organise, support, attend and take minutes for the staff and student committee meetings
- Provide support on various other administrative tasks as needed, including, but not limited to paperwork for Mitigating Circumstances/interruptions, student prizes payments and certificates, start of year arrangements.
Essential Skills
- Educated to Level 3 or above
- First Aid at Work
- Business Administration (desirable)
- IT qualification (desirable)
- English and maths qualification at Level 2 (essential)

About Derby College
Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
