Band 1 (£17,842 to £18,562) pro rata

36.25 hours per week, term time only (i.e. 38 weeks)

Applications are invited for the post of Support Assistant, to work in our Hub – which is a therapy and wellbeing centre that supports students experiencing difficulties to fully access mainstream education.  The Hub also supports students with any physical injury, or suffering a bereavement, or having difficulty managing their behaviours and emotions.  The Hub operates before and after school, and during the school day.

The successful candidate will work under the support, supervision and guidance of a lead practitioner, and will supervise small groups of students within the Hub.

We are looking for candidates who:

● can demonstrate high standards and expectations to young people

● are compassionate and caring

● can promote self-esteem and encourage pupils to act independently

● are interested in teaching/youth work with a desire to gain experience

Candidates must be available to work:

Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 3:45 pm (some flexibility in hours will be required)

to work term time only (i.e. 38 weeks)
