The Castle School meets the  individual needs of 173 pupils  between 3 and 19 years, all of whom have learning difficulties.

To meet the needs of individual pupils, we are seeking support assistants to join our team at The Castle School.  You will be working with pupils across the school who have learning difficulties, experience of Autism in an educational setting will be an advantage.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will support the needs of pupils as individuals and small groups throughout the day.  You will be required to implement education plans and provide assistance with programmes devised by other therapists.

In this role you will be required to help with pupils personal care needs.  You will work across both school sites and in a variety of classrooms, so will need to be flexible and adaptable. 

Applicants will need to have excellent people skills and a warm and caring personality.  The ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff is important.  Opportunities for training are available and staff are encouraged to take these up.

Hours - 8:45-3:15pm

Closing date - Thursday 22nd April

Interviews - Thursday 29th and Friday 30th April
