Job overview

 A key vacancy has arisen in the well-established and experienced Learning Support Team for a lead manager for ESOL, English and Maths support. Your focus will be developing learners’ skills in reading, writing, spelling and Maths to support the successful completion of functional skills and GCSE qualifications. You must have a good understanding of the ESOL, English and Maths support needs of young people and adults within the education sector. 

You will have experience of, or the demonstrable ability to manage a team of teaching assistants; alongside collating the support evidence, funding claims and audit of support delivered via the curriculum. You will have strong organisational skills, a person centred approach and the ability to influence others. 

The role requires the management of the service across South Thames College’s Group during term time only.
