Job overview
South Thames College Group are now looking for a Support Technician who must ensure the availability of ICT systems and services as well as telephony services across the Group.
Providing a quality customer focused service, you will provide 1st and 2nd line ICT support to all employees and supported clients, ensuring all calls are logged accurately and resolved efficiently using the Helpdesk Management system. Through effective installation, configuration, performance management and troubleshooting, you will maintain the smooth and efficient operation of end-user computer equipment and maintain audio-visual equipment, printers and scanners along with other peripheral devises in the area.
Do you have experience in computer hardware/software installation, audio-visual technology and printer technology? Do you have experience of diagnosing issues in a PC/Mac environment? If so, we want to hear from you!
The Support Technician will be results focused, have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude along with detailed experience of Microsoft Office. You will be able to work independently without direct supervision and be able to establish creditability with managers. An understanding of Network Technology such as routers and switches would be a distinct advantage, as would experience in diagnosing issues in an infrastructure environment.
