ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Support Worker to work with young people aged 18 - 25 with Special Education Needs and Disabilities. The college requires a Support Worker who is comfortable with personal care and the role is to begin ASAP.

About the role:

  • Support Worker for young people aged 18 - 25 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Physical Disabilities
  • The working day is 10:15am to 15:15pm
  • You will be under the instruction of the class teacher but have to work on your own initiative too.
  • Full time role but the principal will consider applications from people wanting to work on a flexible basis too

About you:

  • To be considered for the Support Worker position, you will:
  • Have previous experience working with young people with a range of complex needs.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
