Job Purpose
The post holder will undertake to provide support for students in their learning programmes – including extended curriculum, external placements and visits, 1-1 and small group sessions – under direction of a session leader.
The post holder will be required to provide support for students including the full range of communication systems, eating and drinking, personal care, mobility, medication and therapy subject to supervision and training.
The post holder will be required to respect and support students’ rights to adulthood and independence, personal dignity, privacy, equality and opportunities to make progress in their lives.

Bridge College offers specialist education for students aged 16 to 25 with learning difficulties, disabilities, complex health needs and autism. Every day we provide personalised support, tailored learning and hands-on life skills to give young people the confidence to exceed their aspirations.
We’re looking for someone who has:
• Good general education and good written English
• Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
• Experience of working with people who have learning disabilities and/or complex physical needs and/or autism
• Knowledge of the needs of students with learning difficulties and complex needs and how these can be addressed
• A thorough understanding of what constitutes effective support for students with learning difficulties
