Wish to work at one of the best schools in the country as well as one of the most innovative and exciting places to work within education? We are looking for a committed and talented Teaching and Learning Lead in Maths available to start after Easter 2022.  In this role you will have a leading role in shaping the provision of T&L within the department and across the Academy as well as leading on whole school CPD. If you are ambitious, have a history of excellent outcomes, have a deep interest in the latest educational research and wish to work with the best children in the South West please apply for this exciting role which acts as a natural pathway to Senior Leadership.

Our approaches are unique at Marine Academy, and this will not be a school that will appeal to everyone. Please only apply if you passionately believe:

  • Background or home-life is not an excuse for failure or poor behaviour.
  • Every student should have the option to attend University when they leave.
  • Discipline, hard work, consistency and routines underpin student wellbeing and happiness.
  • That group work, and ‘active learning’ are overrated.
  • That academic rigour, challenge and knowledge acquisition are vital to success.
  • That the curriculum should be sequenced, highly structured and knowledge rich.
  • That school leaders remove barriers for colleagues so that they can grow and excel.
  • That leadership, resilience and aspiration are valuable characteristics to grow in children.

If you believe all of these things, are professionally ambitious and driven to transform the lives of the children of our community and City then please apply for the position of T&L Lead-Maths.  You will need to be a subject specialist and have a proven track record of leading excellent outcomes in this area. You will trained to become an expert coach and the improvement of colleagues will be fundamental to this rare and exciting opportunity.

We are delighted to be part of The Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust - a values driven, rapidly growing Trust with a relentless focus on transforming lives through learning by delivering outstanding outcomes for every student, regardless of background.
