Welcome from the Headteacher Mr Simon Braithwaite

We are an 11-16 school with 810 places and are significantly over subscribed. The school was established in 1748 and we are proud to have served the Bury and wider community for over 250 years. We joined the Bishop Fraser Trust on 1 January 2022.

Our school vision is based upon Matthew 5 verse 16 “let you light shine”. We desire for all members of our school community to excel and be able to develop and grow their talents as part of our school family. Supporting the vison is our values of Believe, Achieve, Inspire. We are committed to offering a truly Christian education and want all staff, pupils and parents to experience “life in all its fullness”. This comes from academic success, an extensive extracurricular programme that enables all to develop their talents and rooting all that we do in the life of Christ and Christian values. Equally our pupils inspire us every day with their attitude and willingness to be the best that they can be.

We hope that you are interested in joining as a school and are excited to join our vibrant Christian learning community in order to make a difference to the community that we serve.
