About Sir George Monoux College:
Monoux is a Sixth Form College for over 1700 students aged 16-19. We offer A Levels, vocational courses at levels 2 and 3, and GCSE resits. 76.5% of our students are from deprived backgrounds, compared to 40.3% of 16-19 year olds nationally.
We are now in the top 10% of the country for the progress our students make from GCSE (this includes top 10% for disadvantaged students). 95% of our students advance to University or Apprenticeships, and 14% progress to Russell Group Universities. We are also growing, with a 10% increase in our student intake compared to last year.
About the role:
Entry Periods are the way that we ensure an effective ‘start of the day’ for all students, and this role will involve supporting the ‘set-up’ of an activity each day for students to engage with on their way to lessons. Talent Lab is our way to support students to work hard, engage in positive activities outside their class and enjoy the Monoux Sixth Form experience. This role that will include developing, promoting and delivering a range of events, clubs, guest speakers and other initiatives to ensure students have access to a wide range of interesting options each day.
You may have a background in youth work, education, or a similar field – but primarily we are looking for a pro-active candidate that enjoys planning events and activities in partnership with others that engage with young people.
