What’s to love about the role?

Leading a team of talent acquisition professionals, you will develop a strategic, streamlined, and clear vision for the Talent Acquisition function and align activities for the team to achieve this. You will embed team operating rhythms and service delivery standards, with the goal of capability uplift across the team.

Specifically, you will:

  • Continuously innovate to create and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and engage high quality candidates, build talent pipelines, and respond quickly to emerging issues.
  • Develop and implement a strong employee value proposition to position BCE as a unique employer of choice, including leading initiatives specifically designed to respond to the strategic challenge of teacher shortages.
  • Lead and manage key external partnerships and engagement on behalf of BCE.
  • Evaluate and redesign recruitment practices and build the capability of the team, to support the organisation in sourcing and securing the best candidates.
  • Manage Executive and Leadership Team recruitment in consultation with the Head of People and Culture.
  • Lead bulk recruitment activities, continuously improving processes for school leadership, teacher, school specialist and support staff positions.
  • Lead the development, review and updating of Talent Attraction and Recruitment Policy, Procedure and Processes to respond to the business needs.

Our person

You will have exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, and be able to interpret and translate complex concepts quickly, and with relevance to the BCE’s strategy.

You will bring extensive experience in executing ‘fit for purpose’ talent attraction strategies across large, decentralised organisations, as well exposure to bulk recruitment programs. Strategic in your approach, you will possess exceptional project management expertise, with the ability to develop structured project plans, ensuring required outcomes are achieved within agreed budgets and timeframes.

You will have proven expertise in the coordination and execution of end-to-end recruitment practices, using a range of best practice, contemporary, and innovative selection methods, and techniques. You will be a simplifier, proactive, strategic, and tenacious, with the ability to guide and coach direct reports. You will be comfortable in communicating widely across the business and in influencing and encouraging a shift in current thinking and processes.

Above all else, you will align with Brisbane Catholic Education values and role model integrity and collaboration, committed to supporting your teammates, and the communities in which they operate.
