The Post

This is a key strategic role in the Inclusion Service to lead the committed and enthusiastic team of Inclusion Support Officers, Behaviour Outreach staff and Clinical Psychologists to provide support to children, families and schools to prevent exclusion and improve outcomes. The role leads the commissioning and quality assurance of alternative education provision and supports the development of inclusion support within schools and the Borough's Pupil Referral Units. Partnership working with schools and a wide range of partners is a key element of the role.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, experience of managing teams at a senior level in a complex organisation, a good understanding of commissioning and contract monitoring and budget management. You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build effective relationships and have strong leadership skills.
