Teaching ServiceElderslie High School is a comprehensive coeducational secondary school with an enrolment of 1030 students, including 50 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. School priorities include quality teaching and learning, literacy and numeracy, school leadership and school community wellbeing. There is a strong focus on academic achievement, gifted and talented education, student engagement, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), advancement of technology outcomes for students and whole school professional learning aligned to school priorities. The school has a Support Unit with three classes for students with Autism. The school has an outstanding record of achievement in vocational education and training.
Approval to teach Science (7-10) and Agriculture.
Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of the Science and Agriculture Faculty, contribute to assessment and resource development and support whole school initiatives.
A demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community, through contributing to agricultural extra curricular activities.
Evidence of effective classroom practice that creates a culture of high expectations and accommodates for students with a wide range of learning needs through adjusted curriculum, classroom management and innovative integration of technology.
