Job overview

We are looking for a creative and dynamic Teacher and/or Curriculum Area Manager to oversee the Music curriculum and support team members. The successful candidate will work with team members to deliver an inspiring curriculum across Level 3 Music courses and ensure quality and standards across the curriculum. The successful post holder will programme lead and tutor one of our Level 3 Performance courses. In addition to supporting the curriculum, the post holder will oversee the Music Academy and enrichment provision and work with external partners and establish industry links to provide line of sight opportunities which will further enrich the student experience. Our Centre for Music and Performance is based in the heart of the city centre, just a few minute’s walk from Exeter Central Station. Learners are able to access specialist spaces to compose and perform music as well as having opportunities to perform at a range of external venues including Exeter Phoenix and Exeter Cathedral. We welcome applications from candidates who can support our continued vision of collaboration across courses and with industry partners. 

Successful applicants should have experience of working with learners from different educational backgrounds and must be committed to outstanding teaching and learning. Applicants should demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of exam board specifications and should be highly skilled educators who are able to demonstrate strong musicianship. Knowledge and experience of tutoring is essential as well as a commitment to teamwork to join this high performing team.
