About the role
We are seeking an Arts Specialist Teacher with the skills and abilities to teach The Arts curriculum from P-6.

 
As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:
  • Proficiency in embedding a wide range of ICLTs across The Arts curriculum would be an advantage
  • Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
  • Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
  • Demonstrate high levels of flexibility, initiative, cooperation and a preparedness to investigate and adopt contemporary pedagogies in a team-based learning environment
  • Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
  • Have a growth mindset and hands on approach to learning in a real-world context
  • Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
  • Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experienceas well as:
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff, children, and parents, 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

  • Our learning environment seeks to support and extend learning through a contemporary pedagogy, making effective use of self-directed learning
  • Applicants should be able to clearly articulate their understanding and application of expected and effective strategies in their teaching practice, and the use of the High Yield Strategies to advance student learning
  • It is highly desirable that the successful applicant has relevant and recent experience in primary school education

At BCE our teachers are required to:
  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.


About our school: St Anthony's Primary School is situated in the bayside area of Brisbane known as Redlands City and prides itself on the spirit that can be found in our students, teachers, sporting teams, achievements, friendships and approach to learning.

Do I have to be Catholic?
All BCE teachers must have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
