Join us as a Development Coach and you will be at the centre of a new business making a real impact as one of our early hires.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Be deeply curious with a clear love of learning and educational best practice that shines through.

• Be highly professional with a very good eye for detail and great organisational skills.

• Be warm, empathetic and able to build rapport with learners and other team members easily and quickly.

• Be emotionally mature, able to run effective individual and group coaching sessions confidently, calmly and in a ‘safe’ highly engaging way for learners.

• Be able to respond well to, and manage, change in the team and wider business.

• Beyond education, have some good commercial experience (ideally from a consulting, legal, account management or professional services role).

• Appear credible, with commercial awareness, when talking to any learner from across our client base.

Responsibilities

• To manage and support a caseload of around 45 adult learners on Leadership and Management apprenticeships at Level 5 (Ops Manager) and Level 3 (Team Leader). Ensuring they get the most out of the training, complete on time and receive good developmental feedback throughout.

• To keep accurate and up-to-date records on all learners on our Learning Management System, Aptem.

• To help differentiate and personalise the programme for each learner.

• To support and motivate learners through written feedback, regular online conversations and coaching sessions.

• To help plan, design and deliver learning activities and practical exercises for learners.

• To potentially help support as an additional facilitator during digital learning events and experiences.

Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in an educational context, for example teaching in a secondary school (any subject) or completing Teach First.

• At least 2 years’ commercial experience within any industry area.

• PGCE or similar teaching qualification (e.g. PTLLS or apprenticeship assessor qualification e.g. CAVA) or experience teaching in a private school/post-grad environment.

• Good experience in supporting learners with written and oral developmental feedback, plus a strong ability to differentiate and personalise schemes of work.

• Relevant safeguarding or SEN qualifications and experience are beneficial.

• Experience facilitating Action Learning sessions would be very advantageous.
