Position Information 

Boronia Park Public School is situated in Hunters Hill and has a population of 465 students. Approximately 31% of our students are from a non-English speaking background. The school is focused on teaching effective and dynamic literacy and numeracy programs. Our school rules are based around the four values of friendship, harmony, cooperation and respect.

We strive for excellence with every student learning in a supportive and inclusive environment. Students are provided with the opportunity to maximise their academic learning, social and emotional development and wellbeing. Systematic and consistent assessment informs student achievement and the impact that programs have on student learning.

We provide extensive extra-curricular programs in order to enhance student skills in areas of personal interest, particularly in sport and the creative and performing arts. We work closely with parents and enjoy the benefits of an active P&C and School Council.

  
Specific Selection Criteria 
  • Approval to teach Infants and Primary K-6 and the ability to deliver quality, differentiated K-6 literacy and numeracy programs with a strong understanding of syllabus documentation and current pedagogy, particularly in the early years.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a culture of continuous improvement while understanding and supporting the needs of all students.
  • Well-developed communication and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to build and strengthen relationships and partnerships between school staff, students, parents and the wider community.
  • Demonstrated capacity and/or willingness to contribute to whole school extra-curricular programs.
  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
